Grand Master & Head Instructor Clint Norman

Degree of Black belt: 9th Dan
Started Taekwondo: 1973
Years on the National Team: 8 years, was named captain for 4 World Championships.
Most memorable achievement/accomplishment: Being asked to be on the CD-ROM by the founder of Taekwon-Do General Choi Hong Hi and being a member of the National Team.

Grand Master Norman was promoted to IX Dan, Grand Master on December 15, 2021. 

Master Don Smith

Most memorable moment/achievement: World Championships in Poland (2005) when student placed second in individual sparring.

Master Steve Marcia

Degree of Black Belt: 7th Dan
Club: Regina South Zone
Started Taekwon-Do:  1989
Years on the National Team: 1
Most memorable moment/accomplishment: Competing in the 2015 World championships, as well as being promoted to 7th Dan Master on December 4th, 2022 at the IIC 162 in Montreal, QC.

Master Chelsea Mazzei

Degree of Black Belt: 7th Dan
Club: Regina South Zone & Buffalo Plains
Started Taekwon-Do: 1994
Years on the National Team: 17
Most memorable moment/accomplishment: Chelsea participated in the World Championships and World Cup for 16 years, winning a bronze medal at the World Championships in Women’s Lightweight division in 2009, 2011 and Microweight in 2014 and 2017.  She was named female captain for 5 World Championships, and won several medals in team events.
Master Mazzei was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 2024, and became the first female Master 7th dan) in February 2025.

Master David Kimpton

Degree of Black Belt: 7th Dan
Club: Saskatoon West Zone
Years involved in Taekwon-Do: 1992
Most memorable moment/achievement: Winning the gold medal in the senior men’s sparring competition at the 2000 Canadian National Championships in Vancouver B.C. That year he also won the gold in sparring and patterns at the Sask. Cup tournament, Provincial tournament and at the Western Canadian Championships. Master Kimpton tested for this 7th dan – Master in February 2025.

Mr. Quenton Robins

Most memorable moment/achievement: Winning three medals across four World Cups was an incredible personal milestone, but even more meaningful has been watching my wife and two sons earn their black belts. Martial arts has truly become a shared family journey. Equally rewarding is helping students grow in skill and confidence—supporting their development is a privilege I value.

Most memorable moment/achievement: Watching her little dragons group compete in their first tournament in 2009 and seeing how excited they were when they received their first medal.

Most memorable moment/achievement: One of my most memorable achievements is being selected as an International Umpire at the World Cup in Argentina and Croatia. My most memorable moment is witnessing students earn their black belts. It’s incredibly rewarding to see them recognize the value of their years of dedication and hard work, and to celebrate the accomplishment of a goal they’ve committed themselves to.

Most memorable moment/achievement: My most memorable achievement was making Team Canada for the first time at 16, winning double gold at my first nationals as a black belt in the qualifying year, and traveling to Germany to represent my country

Most memorable moment/achievement: Joining the Tournament Committee, and being Master Marcia’s training partner for his 7th Dan Test.

Mr. Jason McLaren

Most memorable moment/achievement: Winning the gold medal in sparring at the 2002 Western Canadian Championship in Edmonton as a red belt black stripe. As an Instructor, watching students smile when they get there testing results back, and know that all the practice paid off to get their next stripe or belt.

Most memorable moment/achievement: Receiving Gold at Easterns in Halifax 2023 in female 2nd Dan Patterns.
